Serban is managing the Boston Canadian Technology Accelerator and is a Trade Commissioner in charge of the Digital Health sector for the Consulate General of Canada in Boston. A physician entrepreneur with extensive experience in healthcare innovation, and strong clinical and research background, for the last decade he has been involved with various medical and health IT startups and early stage ventures. Also, he has led the Massachusetts Medical Angels due diligence process on life science companies, and has been a Board member, advisor, and consultant to healthcare firms. He earned his M.D. with honors from Carol Davila University of Medicine in Romania and his MBA cum laude from Babson College.
